A very good place to find good web comics is the links page of other web comics. Nearly every web comic has a page of links to pages that the author of the comic likes. The odds are that if you like reading a comic you will also like most of the comics that the author likes. This way some one else has already done the searching for you and filtered out the bad and boring stuff. I have found most of my favorite comics this way.
